Sometimes, you may be required to present legalised translations to the institutions you are submitting these. With our more than 10 years experience in the field, Certified Translations have the expertise regarding legalisation of various types of documents for any purposes, and that includes Apostille legalisation and Notary Certification. We deal with customers living in and in and around Belfast, other UK cities such as Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool and London, and foreign customers living abroad, too. We have offices in Ireland, Switzerland and Canada as well.
An Apostille is the highest level of legalisation. The process goes as follows: we send an original document or a notarised translation to the FCO in London (On condition that the document is issued in the UK) where the Apostille stamp can be affixed. The role of the apostille is to certify that the document is valid and the signature(s) and stamp(s) on it are genuine, and that it can be used abroad and recognised as a legal document. The procedure for a standard Apostille takes around one week, but for the right fee we provide a same-day Apostille service if you need it urgently. At the end of the process, you can collect everything from our office or we can post it to you, quickly and securely.
If you are preparing a Powers of Attorney, or if you have court decisions
An Apostille or other forms of legalisation may be required in case of legal documents () and official personal documents (birth or marriage certificate, for instance). If you also need a fully certified translation of your documents we can help you with that too, all-inclusive.
