If you are going to use any document or translation abroad you may be asked to have your documents apostilled.
Do not waste your time reading complex explanation of what Apostille is. Just contact us and our specialists advise you on the type of document certification.
Apostille.
An apostille is a stamp on a document or addition attached to it. It certifies:
-The country of the origin of the document
-The name and identity of the signature
-Capacity of the signature on it
-The name of any authority which has affixed a seal or stamp to the document
-Place, date, number, official seal.
Authentication.
Authentication verifies the identity of the signature, seal or stamp which the document bears. An apostille involves the addition of a certificate, stamped on the document or attached to the document. Documents for the authentication are done by the Consular section of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
A certificate of Authentification only validates the signature of a notary public, local or state officer. It does not validate accuracy and completeness of the document.
Legalization.
Legalization occurs when the document is presented to the consulate of the relevant foreign country for certification. It means confirming that the signature, seal and stamp on a document is correct.
